DR SARAH COLL "The best possible outcome for every patient is the aim of the specialist orthopaedic team at my Practice, and assisting patients throughout North Queensland and the Pacific Rim. Founded in 2007 and based in Cairns at Serviced Medical Suites, my Practice combines several disciplines under the one roof: myself, a female orthopaedic surgeon, and a clinical nurse. As experienced professionals we join forces to achieve positive outcomes for every patient. By working together on a patient’s treatment and recovery – and exploring all options rather than surgery alone - we can get patients back to work or play more quickly, yet still safely. While some new patients ultimately require surgery, I will also explore other less invasive options first. I am originally from Perth and graduated from Medicine at the University of Western Australia, before doing the bulk of my training in Brisbane and throughout Queensland. I've lived in Cairns for 15 years and love enjoying the tropical lifestyle with my husband and our two beautiful children."
My Vision
Is to ensure that: 1. Patients understand their injury. 2. Patients understand their options. 3. Patients understand their involvement in their recovery. 4. Patients understand how to protect themselves from future injuries.
I aim to offer world-class orthopaedic surgical treatment, by rigorous training and continuous updating of our practices.

Surprisingly, only 4% of Orthopaedic Surgeons in Australia, are women. If we could offer any support for women who are thinking about doing orthopaedic surgery, please let Dr Coll know.
